Whether it is an EPF claim that has not been processed, incorrect details in your account, or any other issue, you might find yourself needing
to lodge a grievance. Thankfully, the EPFO has a dedicated system for handling grievances, ensuring that your concerns are addressed promptly
and efficiently. This blog will guide you through the process of lodging and tracking complaints with the EPFO.
The EPFO Grievance Redressal System is an online platform called the EPFiGMS (EPFO Grievance Management System). This system allows EPF members, pensioners, employers, and others to lodge complaints related to their EPF accounts. The platform ensures that grievances are directed to the appropriate EPFO office and resolved in a time-bound manner.
Before diving into the process of lodging a complaint, it is essential to understand the types of grievances that can be resolved through this system. Some of the common issues include:
- EPF Claim Settlement Delays: If your EPF withdrawal or transfer claim is delayed beyond the standard processing time.
- Discrepancies in EPF Account Details: Incorrect personal details like name, date of birth, or UAN.
- Pension Payment Issues: Delays or errors in pension payments under the Employees Pension Scheme (EPS).
- Non-Transfer of EPF Accounts: Problems faced during the transfer of EPF accounts from one employer to another.
- Inadequate Contribution by Employer: If the employer has not deposited the correct amount in your EPF account.
- Non-Receipt of UAN or Passbook Issues: Issues related to the Universal Account Number (UAN) or passbook.
